Included in our Morning Worship, the Pre-Teen Class presented the story of the Christmas tree and how it relates to Christ’s birth.
The Richard Parthemer Family made a deal- if the church puts up our barn (destroyed by Hurricane Sandy) we will give a generous donation to the building fund (instead of paying a contractor). A great crew of men worked hard last week to prepare for today. Today, 62 men showed up to help with the “Barn Raising.” Thanks is too small of a word to the Parthemer’s and to the great crew of men who responded. Great work… great food… great fellowship… great cause!
Six teams covered many miles and many homes. Special thanks to our great carolers, team leaders. Special thanks to the most wonderful people to carol too! Thank you to Jane Snook and family for providing one awesome MEAL afterwards in the Bates Center. Christmas is wonderful at Beavertown!
The 2012 Christmas Program ministered to over 1500 people- and we thank God for the Gospel message presented by story and song. The old, old story is never old! Special thanks to Marie Plank for directing the program another year. Alissa Snook directed “Bethlehem Village” and many others assisted in the program and behind the scenes. Jonathan and Jayleena Glick of New Castle, Indiana were the special guest musicians.
Sunday evening, December 9th saw a record attendance at Beavertown Church with 723 people attending the Christmas program. Special thanks to all those who made the program possible by your hard work and practice.
Included in our Morning Worship Service today, the Junior Class presented the story of Christmas.
One of the great “fun things” at Christmas is an awesome time of fellowship and food at China House Buffet each Christmas. They close the restaurant just for us- and we filled it with over 360 of our folks. Pastors Stratton and Maloyed entertained us with various comments and the kids sang. What a time!!
Included in the Morning Worship Service today the Nursery and Primary Classes presented something special to all of us for Christmas! We love our little ones.
